New Georgia Encyclopedia

The New Georgia Encyclopedia (NGE), an Internet-based resource, debuts in October 2003. Available without charge to anyone with Internet access, it will support and encourage the understanding and assessment of the heritage, development, culture, resources, and diversity of the state. As a reference tool, the NGE will prove invaluable to schoolchildren, tourists, journalists, and other Georgia citizens of all ages.

The New Georgia Encyclopedia was developed through a partnership of the Georgia Humanities Council, the Office of the Governor of Georgia, the University of Georgia Press, and the University System of Georgia/GALILEO.
